Chekema Prince Wins Martin Walmsley Award!

Chekema Prince presented with Martin Walmsley Award by Hon. Reza Moridi, Minister of Research, Innovation and Science and OCE Board Chair Michael Nobrega

The Martin Walmsley Award for Entrepreneurship, which supports the development of an Ontario student to create an innovative start-up with an economic impact in Ontario, went to Chekema Prince, co-founder of Pression. She received the award for a groundbreaking compression therapy for vascular disease treatment and increased muscle performance, developed in partnership with Lockheed Martin Corporation.

We are extremely proud of our very own CSO, Chekema Prince, who was selected as the 2016 Ontario Centres of Excellence Martin Walmsley Award winner! Out of a wide field of very talented entrepreneurs and startups, Keyma and Pression rose to the top to clinch the award. The video below highlights Pression and the two other finalists: TrendMD and Cinnos.
